From what I’ve observed, cocktail apps over the years tend to fall into one of two extremes: either they introduce unnecessary complexity in the name of completeness, or they’re so overly simplified that they lose all practical value.

With ShakenScale, we set out to create a modern cocktail app that strikes the right balance — something less flashy, open and inclusive, yet still focused on usability and real-world application.

What sets ShakenScale apart is its seamless integration of recipe sharing with a cocktail balancing calculator. It was inspired by some true pioneers in the field:

It’s worth mentioning that ShakenScale is the spiritual successor to 调了个酒 (TiaoLeGeJiu). Back when we were still in China, apart from making games, GROUP900 had rarely worked on mid-to-large-scale applications — TiaoLeGeJiu was the exception. We've taken a long and winding road in our journey of building cocktail recipe apps. We've made our share of mistakes, and we’ve done a lot of thinking. Strip away the flashy, superficial words. Let go of the narrow, self-congratulatory mindset. What you’ll find in ShakenScale is something built from years of hard-earned experience.
